It seems as if everyone has at least one cd player around, whether in your car,or in the church(I even still have a tape player in my car). Now for quicker access,we have moved to mp3s,but my questio...

About Me:
Musician:Bass Guitar/Guitar/Keyboards/Drum Machine Programming/Vocals. Originally from Cincinnati,Ohio. Not only Jazz, but I also play other genres of music. I am from the "Old School",in my approach, yet am facing the advantages of modern technology(to aid in my recording). I feel that I have an advantage because,I actually do know how to play "real" instruments.
Where do you find your music?
I find my music at stores such as F.Y.E. The library,Old tapes that I have, and cd's that I have collected. On occasion,I download music.

Come On In.

WELCOME TO MY DREAM. I CONTINUE TO TAKE THIS MUSICAL JOURNEY. IF YOU ARE WILLING,YOU CAN COME ALONG!

Staying True To The Music

I have been told by my wife that I am too critical of artists such as Maria Carey,Alycia Keys,Beyounce. Out of three.I will give Keys tye most credit, since she can actually play, but she fails short in the fact that she has not done Anything truly original. One of her most recen songs ia Prince rip off(yep). It is true I have no record contract, but then again, there aren't records, just cds,mp3,videos.It is true talent is a gift and a blessing.Talent can be nurtured, but don't get twisted by thinking… Continue

Still Not There Yet

Growing up,there was one of 3 things that I wanted to me.If it came to be that I evolved as a musician,I wanted to be able to reach certain goals.I have (in the past)started my own band, played in jazz/fusion/funk/rock bands, cover bands, been backed up by my favorite band(The Chozen),played in church.Wrote a composition in regards to 911,hosted my own radio Program(which included some of my music),completed 2 solo projeckts.Had the pleasure of having Phil Bullen(a great artist himself),work with m… Continue

From Time To Time

I wonder sometimes what we call music? Where are the musicians/singers/writers? Did jazz come from what culture? did it come from africa? if so it was a beautiful thing.for all of it was not wrote down, but paseed down. Now there is rap/hip hop. is it art(verbal) or music? I can remember back in the day when rap was fun,now it seems to be unintelligent and even unlistenable. As a musician I try to stay open minded, but what I see and hear on cable,in this new generation, makes this m… Continue

Although members of the group "The Chozen" has changed. I owe alot musically to Albert "Woo" Wilkerson, leader of "The Chozen".When I was living in Cincinnati,Ohio.and trying to make a name for myself(while working a day job),he opened doors for me( I would go see his band, yet had no money in my pocket,he'd sneak me in,or say "I'm with the band") his band backed me up,when I was trying out new material, yet I had no band,.He is still doing his thing. I would think that our friendship,my love of music, and god blessing me with talent, were reasons why "Woo" gave me a chance. He has helped others. But I feel we are brothers.at least in music..

What Is Elton John Thinking?

The comments from Sir Elton to shut down the internet just really bother me! What if someone from the piano roll business or the sheet music publisher had told Thomas Edison that the phonograph needed to be destroyed because it was going to ruin the music business. Where would Elton or any other artist be today that succeed [...]
